Simple Present Tense

Simple Present Tense
The concept of time can be split into:

  1. The Present - What you are currently doing. I eat, I am eating
  2. The Past - What you did some time back. I ate, I was eating
  3. The Future - What you will do later. I will eat, I will be eating In the English language, tenses play an important role in sentence formation. The tense of a verb shows the time of an event or action. There are four types of tenses. Simple, Perfect, Continuous and Present Perfect Continuous and each of these has a present, past and future form.

PRESENT TENSES

SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
In Simple Present, the action is simply mentioned and there is nothing being said about its completeness.
I eat.
I sleep.
I play.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
In Present Continuous, the action is on-going/ still going on and hence continuous.
I am eating.
I am sleeping.
I am playing.

Correct the Spellings:

Be very careful of the spellings as incorrect spellings make the sentence meaningless. The spelling of a word is often changed in its plural form. Following are some spelling rules to make a noun plural.

For most of the nouns like Ball, Bag, Car etc, alphabet ‘s’ is added at the end in their plural form. For example: The plural of ball is balls, bag is bags, car is cars etc.
Add ‘es’ after the nouns ending with ‘s’, ‘x’, ‘z’, ‘ch’, or ‘sh’, in their plural form.
For Example:

The plural of Watch is watches, Bus is busses, dish is dishes etc.

Add ‘s’ after the nouns that end with ‘o’.
For Example: The plural of potato is potatoes and tomato is tomatoes.

Correct usage of Articles: The articles a, an, the should be used correctly.

Example:

I need a orange – Incorrect

I need an Orange - Correct
